Since this project is already wanted by whoever is in charge, what I really need to do was more actual research. First, I found some pictures of similar artworks, through Pinterest, Tumblr, and just plain old Googling things like "face collage" and "diversity art". Here are a few things I found that emulate what my vision is. (None of these are my own work and I am not claiming them to be, I have included a link for each image).

These images all emulate the idea of breaking up features on several faces to make one cohesive individual out of many. They all focus on diversity and showing how every one is different in looks but the same thing, the same species and on the same level. This is what I would want to convey in my project. I also wanted to find some potential quotes for the project, which would probably go on the street level panels to help draw people's attention to the piece. Here are some I found, again, with URL's included.

I feel that these quotes would all add somewhat of a meaning to the piece, and tie together it's message.  After taking a look at the space, I also think that the quotes should span each end corner square, even though they are divided in half, so they make a bigger impact.

As for the rest of the project, it should be fairly simple. After getting the "OK" from those seeking a new piece on Warren (who are moving fairly quickly, I noticed, as parts of the decal were taken down this week), I would presumably just need to have my pictures printed. These pictures could either be taken by me, or a photography student, but either way I would want a camera better than the one on my phone. I sent an email to someone in the communications department, but found this page that vaguely details borrowing "equipment". It seems like this would not be too difficult to do. As for the models, I am not sure exactly who I would ask at the moment. In order to fully emphasize diversity, I would need to find people of different apparent races, but this could get tricky in an ethical way. The problematic piece is that I do not have a wide network of friends yet, as I am just a freshman two months in. I have a few people in mind, that likely will not care too much, but I would also think that an email asking who would be willing to have their photo taken would be better. That way we could get willing participants, and hopefully many more than would be used, so that when piecing the pictures together, we have plenty that fit well and we can trash those that don't. This is an email that I am not sure I am licensed to send, and I am not sure who I would send it to.
I also would want the piece to be made of the same material that the old one was, since it is vibrant without taking away from the function of the window. I have absolutely no idea the dimensions of the windows I would be using, so I guessed (and this is likely extremely off, hopefully an overshoot) 50 by 100 inches for each panel, which comes out to be about $180 for each panel and around 20 panels (if, again, they were all the same size) would be $3,600. Again, I would assume the committee behind the Warren Towers façade change know the original source of the material (there is almost no technical information on the original piece online so this was mostly guesswork) and they have the funds to cover it since they have asked for an update specifically. I am still leaning toward this image:
With quotes on the bottom two square panels and potentially an update to the Rhett face in the middle, I believe this would be a viable façade for Warren Towers. The next step is to really send out an email for people who would be willing to have their pictures taken and have them photoshopped in a less crude way.
